Our mission is to “Circulate all forms of value to unleash the potential in all people”, which we intend to achieve by collaborating with various teams within the Group who are delivering new services, ultimately connecting individuals all over the world through the Mercari app. Mercari has the potential to scale up its businesses even further. We believe that Mercari is still growing, and for that reason we hold on to our startup mindset when it comes to speed and autonomy. Each designer has ownership of their domain and
is responsible of their own decision-making. Mercari is a company that believes in the power of design and strives to create the optimal environment for designers to realize their potential, through involving them in the product planning phase, for example. We focus on designing good user experience above anything, and keep improving our working environment by building a design system for improved productivity and accumulating/sharing design knowledge among the teams, among other initiatives.
